there is a real risk of me owning this dog sculpture by Harry Allen for Gaia & Gino. it makes me wish i was japanese or a japanther (which i think should be the new term for people who <3 japan; although i love the band, i think they should give it up just in case a term comparable to “trannie chaser” begins to rise — no one gets as lucky as “francophile”). in such a case, it would be easier for me to get into plastic toys made by Jeremy Fish or Jeff Soto (this image is from Jeff Soto’s trip to Tokyo to see all the toys he is selling); as it is, anything i’m into [that resembles a toy] begins to contemplate itself as a sculpture when i begin to arrange space for it (+$20 to cost for every era of art it emulates through form + light dynamic, booooooo).
