sure, it’s hard to find a mate on land, but have you ever thought of trying to find that special someone at a million thunder-claps under the sea? i have. since i began to disregard space as an un-explored territory worth checking out with mah boyz (the government), i’ve begun to hope that i’ll be able to buy a pre-fab german house strategically placed on some classy seamount real estate.  why are we not trying to hang out with those brontosaurus-looking animals that keep washing up on the shores of africa?

which brings me to my point: i want my new boyfriend to buy me stuff, definitely, but mainly im concerned about the ratio of his body mass to mine, which should be 1:50.  and if he could stick to me like a broach, that would be cool too. the anglerfish, one of my favorite deep-sea dwellers, is a total freak-ass when it comes to tru luv:

“The tiny male anglerfish are born without any digestive system, so once they hatch, they have to find a female quickly. When a male finds a female, he quickly bites her body and releases an enzyme that digests his skin and her body to fuse the two in an eternal embrace. The male then wastes away, becoming nothing but a lump on the female anglerfish’s body!  When the female is ready to spawn, her “male appendage” is there, ready to release sperms to fertilize her egg.”

eternal embrace has never been scarier.

in 2007 i was 20 and it looked like a fire on the run, which is to say i couldnt tell you what color it was.  and since ive decided that im going to look at time with a greater sense of geography [instead of a pinstripe dimension i can only walk through once], i can drive there any time.
